We live in amongst complex systems, if we can see and interact with them can we use them to understand the world we live in and locate our own position in that world?
Traditional UI design models seem to either address 'comprehension' (i.e. the conscious understanding of a process or concept, based on 'need to know' provision of information) or 'emotional icons' that symbolise a single aspect of something, via hidden and incredibly complex path.
